Notes:
This one barrel of late harvest Chardonnay was made
in honor of Madeline Kaz who was born in July of
2007. There are a few things to note about this
unusual wine. For one it actually about 7% Gewertztraminer
and 9% Riesling. All three late harvest grapes
were well on their way to being raisins when picked.
They hit 10% alcohol on natural yeast and left
about 4.5% residual sugar. We kept it unfiltered
so it came out with a hazy gold tone with a hint
of pink. It tastes much like a pear nectar with
an alcohol kick. It's best served chilled and with
an open mind by those who are Chardonnay lovers/enthusiasts/freaks.
